Direct regulation and environmental management towards industry in Mexico: evaluation and perspectives.

This paper analyzes and evaluates the federal policy for environmentally friendly business behavior after identifying the actions and results, both on the regulatory and voluntary sides. It works with an evaluation proposal according to Field's criteria and those of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, with which it is intended to account for, among other aspects, the effectiveness, efficiency, equity and incentives for the long term of such policy.
