The competency-based learning model suggests not only the application of a continuous work methodology within curriculum development and design in higher education, in order to achieve high student performance and a privileged future position for insertion into the world of work. In addition to this, the implementation of this methodology raises the need for teachers, students and education administrators to build an argumentative reflection on the pedagogical, social and labor implications that the establishment of this methodology suggests as an educational project.
