Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • SUBMISSION CHECKLIST

    Before starting the submission process, all authors are required to verify that their manuscript meets all the requirements mentioned in the editorial guidelines. Those that do not meet the requirements will be returned.
  • 1.- The articles submitted must be written in Spanish, English or Portuguese.
  • 2.- The submission file is in Microsoft Word or Pages (mac) format.
  • That the manuscript follows the following structure:
    A. COVER
    B. SUMMARY
    C. KEY WORDS
    D. JEL CODES (JOURNAL OF ECONOMICS LITERATURE).
    E. INTRODUCTION
    F. METHODOLOGY
    G. CONCLUSIONS

  • 4.- The submission is unpublished and is not being submitted for simultaneous publication in other journals or editorial bodies.
  • 5.- It has not been previously published or submitted for consideration by any other journal.

Author Guidelines

EDITORIAL GUIDELINES
1. The submission of works to the coordination of EXPRESIÓN ECONÓMICA is open all year round. In case there is a special or thematic call for papers, it will be previously informed, as well as the deadlines and special guidelines to be met. The works are accommodated according to the order of arrival and availability in the next issues.

2. Articles sent to EXPRESIÓN ECONÓMICA must be written in Spanish, English or Portuguese. They should be in Word (office) or Pages (mac) format. They can be submitted in three ways:


A. Personally or by parcel in USB memory stick at the journal's office. Cubicle B, Department of Economics, K-302. Addressed at: Centro Universitario de Ciencias Económico Administrativas (CUCEA) Periférico Norte 799, Edificio K, Department of Economics (K-302). University Center Los Belenes. Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico. C.P. 45100.

3. The length of the articles should be 25 to 30 justified pages (including tables and graphs).
4. The manuscript should follow the following structure:

A. COVER PAGE, WHICH SHOULD CONTAIN (it will be the first page and does not count as one of the 25 to 30 pages):
I. Title and Subtitle
II. Name(s) of author(s)
III. Institution of affiliation and country.
IV. E-mail address.
V. Orcid ID of each author

5. The text should comply with the following formatting characteristics:
- Page margins: top and bottom 3cm and right and left 2.5cm.
- Typography: Times New Roman or Calibri (including tables and graphs), 12 points general (text, sections, subsections, etc.), 11 points for tables, graphs and bibliography, 10 points for footnotes in text, tables and graphs. 1.5 line spacing.
- Numbering: papers should be numbered in bold center, in Times New Roman or Calibri 10 point.
- Paragraphs: except for the paragraph following a title, the rest should be indented 1.25 cm. Paragraphs should be 1.5 spaced, justified and without leaving blank lines between them, only when a new section follows.
- Sections and subsections: each section should be numbered with Arabic numerals, in bold and lower case (e.g. 2. International Economy), the subsections should be in bold preceded by the corresponding number (2.1 Exports), there may be a third level that would be in bold and round (2.1.1 Agrifood Exports of Mexico). In all cases the headings are separated from the previous paragraph and the one preceding it.
- Quotations: they should appear between quotation marks in the paragraph if they are less than five lines, from five lines on, they should be placed, leaving a space, in a separate paragraph, with a left indentation of 1.25 cm, without quotation marks. In both cases, the name of the author, year of publication and page number(s) should be placed in parentheses at the end of the citation, for example, (García, 1995: 34-36). If only the author is cited, the first surname and in parentheses year of publication, Peniche (2001), if there are several authors in parentheses will be as (Perez, 2007; Romero, 2001; Garcia, 1997).
- References: These will be presented in alphabetical order, with 11-point Calibri font, French indentation of 1.25cm, in APA 7 format and at the end of the paper on a new page.
- Annexes: if required, they can be placed at the end before the references.

6. Submit the letter of originality and no simultaneous applications duly signed together with the manuscript, by the means mentioned above.  The letter of originality and no simultaneous applications  will indicate that the article submitted for evaluation is unpublished, the product of scientific, theoretical or empirical research work. Manuscripts in the process of evaluation and those accepted or published cannot be submitted to other evaluation processes. Papers published in the journal must be unpublished and must not have been published in other journals or by other means. For this point, the author(s) of the papers should send to expresioneconomica@cucea.udg.mx.
