Today, after the historical stage of the 20th century - marked by the end of the Cold War and the fall of the Soviet Union, which brought about the end of the global domination of the two powers - the eyes of the world are focused on the development and weight of regional forces operating in a sphere of competition and confrontation, especially economic. The war today is no longer a military one, but one of economies. It is the time of international liberal optimism. In East Asia, the new focus on wealth and market creation has been sufficient to dissolve the tensions that characterized and divided the region for a considerable time this century. In Asia-Pacific, it is also the time of regionalism.
