Surely at this moment some individual, anywhere in the world, is being affected in his or her daily activities by some manifestation of economic globalization. Whoever is writing these lines is doing so on a computer whose components were manufactured in different parts of this planet and assembled in a very different one. Culture, customs, language, etc., are, without a doubt, unequal,
are, undoubtedly, unequal among all countries, however, one constant stands out in all of them: the economic aspect, which becomes the fundamental engine to integrate different regions in a virtual community that interacts and generates products, services and profits that contribute to the growth and internal development of each one of them. Likewise, and following the example of the computer equipment, it should be noted that such equipment was acquired through the payment of an amount of dollars (of course, paid at the exchange rate in effect on the day of purchase). The argument put forward for making the sale in this way is that it is an imported item and, therefore, it must be paid in terms of the currency commonly accepted internationally at present: the U.S. dollar.
