Abstract

The recent approval of energy reform in Mexico constitutes a change of historical era, where it moves over the monopoly by the State in the functioning of this sector for seven decades by Petróleos Mexicanos (PEMEX) and the Federal Commission of Electricity (CFE), to accommodate the private equity transnational and national levels in such activities, which undoubtedly switch to from the exploration of oil and power generation to commercialization of oil derivatives and electricity supply to industrial users, commercial and residential, to across the country. In particular, the scope of the energy reform and the National Infrastructure Program (NIP) 2014-2018, on the Mexican Pacific states is addressed.
