Abstract

This paper seeks to analyze the capital lessons learnt from the Chinese Special Economic Zones (SEZ) and its success factors useful for other countries, particularly the implications for the countries with SEZ projects. This research first conceptualizes the SEZ. Then, it summarizes the experiences of development of the SEZ in China. The analysis section identifies the lessons that planners of other SEZ can learn from China.
