Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the institutional determinants of corporate capital structure in Mexico, based on a review of international empirical work on the subject, in order to develop a framework for future studies of the factors that influence the financing decisions of Mexican companies. From the above analysis we found that the legal aspects, the characteristics of the country's financial markets and corporate governance influence the financing trends of corporate investment operations.
