In this document we estimate lineal regression models to analyze the correlation between rainfed/irrigated agriculture and Jalisco’s agriculture GDP. The effect of the agriculture on the GDP was estimated considering annual series from 2000 to 2010. Results show a direct relationship between rainfed/irrigated agriculture and Jalisco’s GDP, which mean that an agriculture production increment will increase GDP value, considering a ceteris paribus scenario. According to the statistical models the behavior of the agriculture exportations of Jalisco depends of variables such as inflation, agriculture production, yield, harvested area and plantings. This model allow us to infer that agriculture exportations depends of macroeconomic variables and they affect the agriculture performance; an activity where quality and sanity standards are very important.
