Socioeconomic Status of Region 01 North of the State of Jalisco

The total surface area of region 01 North of the state of Jalisco is 10,676 square kilometers, which represents almost 9% of the state's surface area. According to the new administrative regionalization, it is integrated by the municipalities of Bolaños, Colotlán, Chimaltitán, Huejúcar, Huejuquilla el Alto, Mezquitic, San Martín de Bolaños, Santa María de los Ángeles, Totatiche and Villa Guerrero. This region is located to the north of the state of Jalisco and borders: to the north with the states of Nayarit and Zacatecas; to the east with the state of Zacatecas; to the south with the 11 Valles region and the state of Zacatecas; and to the west with the state of Nayarit.
