Alternative financing for small and medium-sized enterprises in the South Coast of Jalisco

The aim of this study was to identify financing alternatives that exist for Small and Medium -sized Enterprises (PyMES Spanish abbreviation) on the South coast of Jalisco . It was observed the characteristics of these financings at each institution like the interest rate, period provided to settle the credit, required documentation, and existing targets in each institution for placement of this credit, etc . The study involved the analysis of 14 financial institutions including: commercial banks, credit unions, government agencies and institutions to provide credit to low-income entrepreneurs . The information was collected through a structured questionnaire ran in the form of direct interviews; it was analyzed with frequency distribution boxes and the nonparametric chisquare X2 on certain data for the association of variables .
