Abstract

  Undert he model of economic opening, the states of northern Mexico have presented economic growth above the national average and have been integrated into the world economy on the basis of attracting foreign investment and production for the foreign market. In this dynamic, we analyze the structure of employment in Sonora from the concept of wage differentials associated with education levels, to address the disparities between economic sectors, the age ranges and gender of the employed population of the entity.They are used as a source o fmicrodata from the Survey of Occupationand Employmen t(ENOE) from 2005 to 2012 and is applied Mincerian earnings function, considering the type of rating workers. The results showa reduction in the wage gap between skilled and unskilled workersin the various analysis criteria.
