Abstract

The teaching and learning of mathematical economics, which has a long tradition in the training of budding economists, still lacks sufficient pedagogical-didactic processes for the achievement of a comprehensive university education. In our academic environment, the field of mathematical economics, in most of the institutions that train professional economists, is practically absent as a specialized subject in economic analysis. The transcendence of the economists who initiated the evolution of mathematical economics and whose impact has been extremely considerable, has not been able to penetrate the mechanisms of the classrooms of its teaching-learning.
