The conditions of the labor market in the world, as well as the tendencies towards entrepreneurial discourses as a solution to the crises experienced by the economy, particularly in the employment of university graduates, have led higher education institutions in recent years to emphasize the importance of entrepreneurial skills in order to promote new forms of employment and the development of innovations; In addition, the university-business-government linkage represents an area of opportunity that can be developed, at least partially, in business incubators. This article presents the results of an exploratory study carried out in the business incubator of the Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes, with the purpose of knowing success and failure factors, and to reflect on the possibilities offered by this type of activities for university graduates. The results show that the incubated ventures are generally of low productivity and with little capacity to generate more jobs, as well as scarce linkage with the public sector.
