The common belief assumes that msme’s are only dedicated to manufactures. Until now services msmes, in particular the ones that belong to the sports sector, have not been studied yet. This paper analyzes the output of martial arts businesses within the City of Guadalajara using the principles of the microeconomic theory of production. We estimate a Cobb-Douglas function with ols regressions and according to these results we design an appropriate economic policy to improve companies’ regional competitiveness.
