Abstract

In any business structure, SMEs are of great importance. However, SMEs face several difficulties of their own, particularly the lack of financing. This problem stems from the lack of credibility or reliability of this sector, which is why some governments have adopted various policies and measures to strengthen it. In this article, taking as an example the financing guarantee system for SMEs in Japan, a comparative analysis will be made with that of Mexico. By doing so, it is intended to discern the current situation of the system in question in both countries, which will serve for a better mutual understanding between Mexico and Japan.
